The Foothills EP Release Party

Doors: 6 PM | Show: 7 PM | All Ages | Fully Seated The Foothills are a Chattanooga based acoustic trio whose music blends a diverse range of Americana traditions - folk, country, blues, soul, and bluegrass - in an effort to create timeless musical statements that are also modern and relevant. The band regularly draws comparisons to musicians ranging from Jason Isbell to the Steel Drivers and the Avett Brothers…and like those artists, delicately attempts to balance artistic integrity and popular appeal. The Foothills officially made their debut early in 2018, playing to a sold out crowd at Puckett’s in Chattanooga. The Chattanoogan newspaper noted that the group, “…swooned a capacity dinner crowd with standing room only through a 90-minute set.” An enthusiastic response from their debut show led to participation in the Road To Nightfall showcase, in which 30 bands from a variety of genres vied for a headlining spot at Nightfall - a summer music series that features national touring bands. The Foothills were one of five bands left standing in the finals of the competition, which were held at Chattanooga’s premier music venue, The Signal. From this experience, the group secured an invitation to open Nightfall on May 18, 2018. Throughout these events, the group has been covered multiple times by local media, including Music Wednesdays with Chattanooga Times-Free Press, two live appearances on NPR-affiliate WUTC-FM with Richard Winham, and press coverage from Chattanooga Now,, and The Chattanoogan. The band is currently working on their debut album which will be released in Fall 2018.Taken together, the 3 members of The Foothills bring a wealth of performance experience to the stage. Paul Hadfield is a veteran singer/songwriter/guitar player and has been performing in a variety of ways since he was 11 years old. He has played his original music in recent years to crowds stretching from Nashville to Atlanta, and worked on recording projects with Dolly Parton’s band leader and producer, Kent Wells. Vincent Beasley is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist who contributes fiddle, mandolin, dobro and background vocals. Vincent has years of performance experience in a variety of styles - rock bands, bluegrass groups, and even a university symphony. Tony Neely completes the trio on bass. A well-seasoned bassist with hundreds of live shows under his belt, Tony Neely has had the opportunity to perform with artists such as Matt Adler, Patrick Mayberry, Jake Leg Stompers, and more. He has recorded at esteemed studios such as The Parlor (Nashville), 800 East (Atlanta), and Splendid Studios (San Antonio).
